Frank Pope (BBC2 Thames Shipwrecks: A Race Against Time) Frank Pope became the face of TV marine archaeology when he made his first screen debut in BBC2’s Thames Shipwrecks: A Race Against Time. He was the first Ocean Correspondent (for the Times), but also a successful author with the best-selling Dragon Sea. As Ocean Correspondent Frank writes for the Times and regularly contributes articles to a range of magazines including Mens Vogue. Frank has appeared at the Guardian Hay Festival, and on radio for the National Geographic, West Coast Live (USA) and National Public Radio (USA) to name a few. Frank is currently working on developing his presenting work on-screen, as well as off-screen, for talks and presentations about his intriguing experiences in the world of shipwreck investigation.

Jeff Kurr (Discovery Channel’s Shark Week documentaries- AirJaws, Great White Shark: Uncaged)
Jeff is an LA-based filmmaker who has shot over 24 Discovery Channel “Shark Week” episodes! Jeff has been a part of the long running event that airs mid-summer every year and has become like an annual ritual for ocean enthusiasts and shark fanatics who can’t get enough of these animals, since 1991. He produces, directs, writes, edits, hosts and shoots shark documentaries for Shark Week among other TV shows. Jeff’s documentary “Air Jaws” was voted by viewers as the all-time favorite episode in 20 plus years of Shark Week and is one of the most successful nature documentaries in Discovery Channel history, seen in virtually every country in the world going on 10 years.

Paul Rose (BBC- Oceans, Meltdown, Voyages of Discovery) Paul Rose was the expedition leader and one of the hosts of the BBC TV series Oceans, documenting the changes in different oceans during a one-year expedition with other famous environmentalists and marine biologists that included Philippe Cousteau, grandson of the famous Jacques-Yves Cousteau. In the past he has worked as a TV presenter on a number of shows including, Voyages of Discovery, Take One Museum, Meltdown and Scrapheap Challenge for BBC. He is now filming his new BBC series, Oceans UK and writing a book on the Oceans series. Apart from being a professional and highly experienced scuba diver his expertise extends to a hot of other fields that include- science support and field logistics expert, polar guide, mountaineer and yacht skipper. He worked with NASA and the Mars Lander project on Mt Erebus, Antarctica for which he was awarded the US Navy Polar Medal.

Dr. Rocky Strong (Discovery Channels Shark Week- Air Jaws, Sharks of the Atlantic, Future Shark)
Shark Expert Dr. Rocky Strong is a marine biologist and underwater cinematographer whose collaboration on 20 documentaries on sharks has made him a darling of the Discovery Channel. His obsession with sharks started when he was just 8 yrs old and his mother was stated saying “Rocky was born with gills, not lungs.” Many of his documentaries have been shot by film-maker Jeff Kurr, mentioned above. In his studies about sharks he has dived amid hammerhead, white-tip reef, and whale sharks off the coast of the Sea of Cortez and the volcanic Revillagigedo Islands, also known as the Galapagos of Mexico among other destinations. In 2001, Dr. Rocky Strong was voted Sexiest Shark Expert one People Magazine’s Sexiest People list.
