It is important to be vigilant when it comes to monitoring and caring for our oceans, as they are integral to the existence of all life on Earth. Our climate and weather are intricately connected to the sea, and our global mobility is thanks to the ocean’s myriad waterways, reasons enough to watch over its health. It is an area of such high concern that one in six jobs in the US is marine-related. Within these jobs, people are conducting ongoing research and implementing management to preserve, create, and protect our precious marine resources.
