Cozumel is considered to be one of the world’s premiere SCUBA diving destinations, and not without good reason. Because its entire shoreline is a federally protected area, Cozumel is home to an impressive array of marine life, with an abundance of coral reefs right off its beaches. In addition to the reefs, qualified divers can also enjoy exploring the cenotes, massive freshwater sinkholes found on the island. Still a rookie at 4years Padi certified, with 27 dives under my belt…I was invited to dive Coz last September one day while in PDC….unbelieveable dive….just a wonderful place to be…..the dive boat captain and crewman were top shelf…I will never forget my first dive off Cozumel….and plan to return….more than once….!

We love Cozumel too! Luis at Babieca Dive shop is the best Dive Master! Last March we dove there and were the only divers and we could choose whatever we wanted. Punta Tuniche is one of my favorites as well as Chaaknab. Drift diving is pretty cool in Cozumel!
My first real dive in the BIG POOL was Santa Roses wall. Been diving for 3yrs now I have 11 dives now.

Damn you for posting this! I have been three times but I am taking my 6 year old to Disney World this year for vacation. Hopefully back in Feb 2013! We stay at the Iberostar and dive with dressel. Love it.

I’ve been diving Cozumel for more than 25 years. Although the town and island have changed, the diving is still the best for the money anywhere. Landed at Dive Paradise about 17 years ago and still dive with them a couple times each year.
we loved the wall dive there, but do not go on any boats that you are the only divers . we got robbed while we were on our second dive.
just got back from there…. beautiful, great people, dove Santa Rosa wall, but actually “Dalila” & “Horseshoe” was our favorite…

Advanced Divers in Cozumel is the BEST. Will be diving with them next week again, we go back because of the great reefs and great DIVE MASTERS.
