Intova has been known to offer us, affordable yet high quality compact waterproof cameras giving divers the opportunity to try their hand at underwater photography without having to the break the bank. The Intova 8 and 9 megapixel cameras were always a huge hit with the consumers, as they were compact, easy to use and came with all sorts of accessories allowing users to upgrade their kit as they became more proficient at underwater photography.
The latest offering by Intova, released only this month, is the IC12 which is a Intova 12 megapixel Digital Camera with Waterproof Housing allowing users to take pictures at up to 180 feet deep. Equipped

with a CCD sensor the new camera is capable of still images of 12Mp or (3968×2976) as well as video in VGA (640×480) and HD (720p)/30fps. However the biggest improvement of the IC12 camera is its lighting fast shutter speed enhancements capable of firing at 1/2000th of a second. While this doesn’t sound like much, the biggest drawback of most point and shoot digitals underwater is their ability to freeze motion in low light and this model is ideal for capturing fast moving subjects underwater.
Other camera features include 3X Optical Zoom, 2.36” LCD and Lithium ion battery that does not require removal for recharging via USB cable. The watertight housing has the same easy to hold grip and dual O-rings allowing the camera to withstand depths of up to 180 feet without leakage.
Most impressive of all is the IC12’s affordable price of $209 (only at Leisurepro.com) which makes the decision to buy this camera very easy.
To get the most out your Intova, Aquaviews recommends purchasing the Intova IC12 with a few other Intova accessories such as the Intova Stay Slim with Flex Arm for only $27 and the Intova ISS 2000 Strobe Head for $135 which will enhance your underwater photography ten-fold giving you professional looking well exposed images.
